While I didn't eat a lot of food today, I sure ate alot of sugary foods. No matter what I ate today my sweet tooth just wasn't satisfied. I need to find some sweet foods that are healthier than what I was eating today. I have a plan for the next few days. I am going map out what I plan on eating during the day and eating nothing but what is on that plan. I am hoping that will help me decrease my snacking and help with healthy eating. Tomorrow I start my daily excercise. My goal is to excercise in some form every day. My plan for tomorrow is to stick with my eating plan and excercise. We'll have to see how it goes!
Tip for the day: Cake is a great sweet treat. Try subsituting 12 ounces of diet soda for egg, oil, and water. It cuts down on the calorie, fat, and sugar content. Besides, this method makes for a super moist cake, but remember using this method also calls for a little longer cooking time.
Until tomorrow,
Krista

Day 2 and 3
I want to begin by apologizing for not posting yesterday. It was a crazy long day filled with dibels testing, read alouds, and serving at work. I don't think I mentioned it before, but I am studying to be a teacher. So from 8 to 330 I am in the classroom observing and helping out the master teacher in any way I can. Yesterday I went from school to work and worked for 7 hours. By the time I got home I was exhusted and it was after midnight. However yesterday was a good eating day. I can't quite remember everything I ate but I did my best to eat healthier than normal.
Today was not as good of an eating day, but I did not eat nearly as much as I normally do. Again I was in the classroom and helped out with more dibels and I made lots of copies. The copy machine in the school work room as become one of my good friends. Today I woke up late so I grabed a bite to eat on my way to school. I bought hashbrown rounds and a breakfast sandwich from a fast food joint, but didn't like the taste of the sandwich so only had a few bites. For lunch I ate a frozen diet pizza and a snack sized bag of popcorn. For an afternoon snack I ate a long tootsie roll. When I got home from school, my mom had some fast food waiting for me. I foolishly ate all of it over the evening. I baked potato, a small chilli, a burger and some chicken nugets. I was so ashamed of myself. But we live and learn. As a early bed time sanck I ate a bowl of shredded wheat. It sounds like a alot of food, and it is, but when you think about it being over a 14 hout period, its not that bad.
I still have a lot to learn. 3 days into it, and I have already learned a few lessons about eating out and planning ahead. Trying to keep track of all the food I've eaten each day is difficult, but its worth it to see what you are eating and what you can cut from your diet. I need to cut back on my fast food. I believe that if I cut back enough that it will halp me greatly on my quest to a smaller me.
Tip for the day: If you have to be out of the house early pack a breakfast and lunch the night before. It will help you stay away from the fast food joints.

Day 1
Every Monday I will weigh in using my Wii Fit. I will provide this information on Mondays.
Starting Weight: 272.3
Ultimate Goal: 170
Weight still to lose: 102.3
I made the mistake of going to work hungry. I work at a restaurant, so every time I saw food, I wanted it. I went until about 11 without eating anything, again, not a good idea. But when I ate I had a not so healthy choice. I ate about one egg with ham, bacon, and sausage with cheddar cheese on top. It was just enough to tide me over for about an hour when I got sent on my break. I tried to pick a more healthy option. So instead of pancakes I chose a biscuit, egg whites, turkey bacon and fruit. I didn't have a chance to work out today, but at least I was constantly moving around at work. When I got home I did absolutely nothing. I ate 4 egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce, which I cooked in the microwave instead of deep frying which makes them crunchy and tastier. I finished me off my day with a generals tsos, rice, and veggies frozen meal. It might not sound like a great day, but it was a good start to a long journey.
Tip of the day: When eating at a restaurant, ask if they have a nutrition guide. Most places do and have no trouble letting you see it. You might be surprised at the facts about some of your favorite food. I know I was.

A New Beginning
Welcome to my blob... opps I meant blog. I guess I have fat on my mind... and my body, but not for long. The point of this blog is to create an online journal of my journey to the new me. I'll share with you the daily success and set backs, the ups and the downs. As I work toward my ultimate goal I share what works and what doesn't, whats easy and whats not. I don't mind putting myself out there and getting your feedback, however keep in mind that I have a long and tough road ahead and negative feedback would not be helpful. Some things are easier done with a support group, so if there are any other Chunkys looking to make a change, hit me up! We can work on it together! Check back daily for journey updates! Tomorrow the adventure begins!
